Cabinas Valle Campanas is a small family-owned and operated business which offers 4 cabins for rent. Located 10 minutes by foot from Santa Elena (the commerical center of Monteverde), Valle Campanas offers a quiet place to stay. There is ample parking and the site is very secure.

What sets this place apart is the Arguedas family, who takes special pride in making your visit memorable. A typical Costa Rican homemade breakfast is served in the owner's kitchen for an extra charge. Or it can be brought down to the cabinas.

The owners take great pride in their gardens and the grounds of Valle Campanas have lovely flowering plants which are frequently visited by many birds and mammals. The area is known for the predominance of the "Three Wattled Bellbirds" which can be seen most months from March thru August. On the farm is a working 'trapiche' that processes sugar cane. There is about 1 kilometer of private trails, which winds through forest and fruit plantations that make up the farm.

Each cabin has a fully furnished kitchen. The cabins are divided up as follows:

Cabin #1 "La Calandria"
Cabin #2 "El Tucan"
These cabins have the same layout and design:

1 double bed upstairs with a bathroom and balcony with views of the countryside
1 single bed downstairs in kitchen/living area
Can sleep up to 3 people (and you can add mattress on floor upstairs to sleep 4 people but it is a bit crowded)

Cabin #3 'El Mono'

This is a much larger cabin and has:
2 double beds and bathroom upstairs plus balcony with views of the countryside
1 double bed and 1 bunk bed in kitchen/living area
Can sleep up to 8 people

Cabin #4 'El Boo'
This is the largest of all, hidden in the forest
2 huge bedrooms - each room has 2 double beds and 1 single bed and each room has a private bathroom
1 kitchen/living area
Sleep up to 10 people. Good for 1 or 2 families sharing

Valles Campanas is an ideal place to stay if you are planning on spending more than a couple days in the area as you can take advantage of a fully equipped kitchen. Valle Campanas is also good for families or groups of friends as the cabins can sleep more people than some of the other standard format hotels.  The cabins have views of the Pacific and offer superb sunsets from the vantage of their balconies.
