The Hotel Cipreses B&B, a 10 minute walk from the town area of Santa Elena, has a tropical courtyard you would not expect in the residential area it's located in. The hotel has a full kitchen with staff willing to work with whatever schedule you are on.

The rooms are clean and simple and all overlook the courtyard. Private bathrooms boast "real" hot water showers unlike the electric showerheads found in most places in Costa Rica.

For travelers who are interested in ziplines, reserves, and maybe a little nightlife in Santa Elena, Hotel Cipres is a good budget choice.
