Welcome to the El Establo Hotel of Monteverde Costa Rica - Your Home on the Mountain!

Hotel Establo is one of the larger and more conspicuous hotels in the Monteverde area. With the recent completion of a new building the hotel now offers 2 new types of rooms. They are the Junior Suites and Suites. The new building consists of 18 junior suites and 12 suites. This is in addition to the Standard rooms found in the older building.

          

Located in Cerro Plano, the hotel is between Monteverde and the village of Santa Elena. Within walking distance are a number of restaurants, Valle Escondido and the Butterfly Garden. El Establo has a restaurant of there own where a tropical breakfast is served each morning.

This is the only hotel in Monteverde with a pool. There is also a Jacuzzi. 
   

   All the rooms in the new buildings have balconies or terraces depending on which floor they are on. There are no TV's in the rooms but there are a number of TV lounges with cable television. All of the new rooms have phones. There is also plenty of closet and desk space. All of these Junior Suites and Suites also have very large tiled bathrooms with a separate tub and shower. (Hot water of course). 

   One of the things we like most about these new rooms is the LARGE windows and wooden ceilings. The many different angles in the roofs make all of the rooms a little different. The ceilings are actually nice to look at. (We hope you won't spend all your time in your room though).

Suites:

• 80 square meters of space (large rooms)

• A loft with a King Size bed
• A queen size and single bed on the main level

Junior Suites:

• 60 square meters of space (Still a large room)
• Balcony with a view towards the Pacific
• Lots of rocking chairs and other nice wood furnishings
• Two queen size beds or 1 King and 2 single beds
• Wall to wall carpeting

   This is one of the first hotels in Monteverde, Costa Rica to use a gray water treatment system. This is a biologically sound, subterranean system, used for the treatment of gray waters.
