Hotel El Atardecer is a comfortable, recently built family-run hotel. Its name comes from the word 'atardecer', meaning sunset, and indeed some of the upper rooms have good views of the Gulf of Nicoya where one can watch the sunsets. 

Located within a 5 minute walk of Santa Elena (the main village in the Monteverde area) it avoids the noise of the hotels situated right in the center.

The hotel is two stories with shared balconies.. Spacious, triple and quadruple rooms are available . All rooms have modern bathrooms

The hotel has a restaurant and offers laundry service.
