Hotel El Atardecer is a comfortable family-run economy hotel. Its name comes from the word 'atardecer', meaning sunset and i some of the upper rooms have balconies with views of the Gulf of Nicoya where one can watch the sunset. The hotel also has a nearby sister hotel called 'amanacer' which is sunrise in Spanish.
Hotel Atardecer is located in a residential area within a 5 minute walk of Santa Elena (the main village in the Monteverde area) so avoiding the traffic noise of hotels situated right in the center.
The hotel has two stories with shared balconies and all rooms have private modern bathrooms. As well as single rooms there are spacious triple and quadruple rooms available.
Hotel Atardecer has a restaurant and offers laundry service. Its economy prices, comfortable rooms and friendly staff make the hotel a good option.
