La Colina Lodge, located near the Monteverde
Reserve, has the look and feel of a real mountain lodge. With generous porches, hammocks, media room and a restaurant/ common area. The owners Kevin and Nancy, originally from Southern California, are sure to make you feel at home and Kevin prides himself on his home cooking!
All of the rooms have been recently updated with colorful paint, unique ceramic fixtures and warm comforters for those cooler nights. Most rooms are with private bathrooms and all standard rooms have a queen size bed. There are also 4 shared bath room for those on a budget plus a some bunk rooms with 2 bunk beds and a shared bath which are a great option for the budget traveler or family.
A fire pit has been added to the grounds, which is a great place to toast marshmallows and watch the sunset..
The accommodation price at La Colina Lodge includes a full complementary breakfast in the fun and funky hotel restaurant. The staff is also happy to help with special meal requests and sack lunches.
The La Colina Lodge is a great choice for travelers who are coming to Monteverde for forest hikes and bird watching, who seek Mountain-Lodge type accommodations. The Lodge is 5 a minute walk to the Quaker meeting house, the cheese factory, bat museum and several restaurants.
