Monteverde Country Lodge (formerly called Nidia Lodge) Monteverde Costa Rica is a quiet, comfortable hotel located near the Ecological Sanctuary and the Montevede Butterfly Gardens in an area called Cerro Plano: an ideal location half way between the
Monteverde Cloud Forest reserve and the main village of the Monteverde area (Santa Elena), in close proximity to several restaurants and activities. The hotel, which was called Nidia Lodge up to Dec 1st 2009) was bought out by Poco a Poco and re-modeled.
Monteverde Country Lodge has 19 rooms in total. There are 3 main types of rooms: standard, deluxe and junior suites (note that two rooms are specially fitted for people with physical disabilities or special needs). All rooms have private bathrooms with hot water. The junior suites are also equipped with desk, refrigerator, TV and coffee maker. One of the rooms has a small private balcony great for bird watching.
Monteverde Country Lodge presently has two 'family' suites. One of these has two separate bedrooms and a common living area with tv, fridge, coffee maker etc. One room has one double bed and the other bedroom has two single beds- perfect for families of 4 people. The other family room has two double beds and one single located in one room and a separate living area.
Family Suite:
Monteverde Country Lodge has an auditorium that seats 50 people for meetings or presentations and the hotel has a restaurant with a wide menu. Breakfast is included in the price of the room.
There is also a small garden spa with Jacuzzi. The Spa offers manicure, pedicure, massages and other treatments.
