Nested on a peaceful mountain slope with views of the Pacific, Hotel Sapo Dorado offers 30 suites spread out over the ample property and lush gardens with plenty of trails at the back of the hotel - a bird-watcher's paradise! El Sapo Dorado means 'the Golden Frog' (now unfortunately thought extinct) and you can spot the 'arty' frogs on the grounds.
The hotel features a number of beautiful stained glass works which can be found in the hotel's common areas. There is a restaurant serving a variety of international dishes with some vegetarian options. A full bar and lounge are also available and dining is
possible on the outdoor terrace as well as indoor Quality service and pleasant atmosphere along with great food make for a pleasant dining experience.
The Sapo Dorado is a relaxing place with plenty of green space, trees and exotic flowers, The hotel has 30 spacious and comfortable rustic suites with balconies and large windows, artistic touches as well as helpful and experienced staff.
The Sapor offers three different type of rustic suites: the Classic, Fountain and Sunset suites.
There are 10 of each suites and two suites share each building, so there are 15 cabins spread over the property. All the suites are equipped with tables, chairs and balconies or porches. The cabins are a little spread out which can be a problem for anyone with walking difficulties although they are not far for most people and the privacy they extend make up for it. The rooms closest to reception are the Fountain Suites (there is also one Sunset suite for those with walking difficulties and you can drive your car up to the door). The Sunset Suites are the ones highest up and harder to get to. Below is a description of each one and further down there are more photos of each cabin inside.
