Canopy Tours: Ziplining Tours and Hanging Bridges
One of the favorite Monteverde Canopy tours is the Selvatura Canopy tour company in Monteverde Costa Rica. Selvatura Park is a private reserve located adjoining the Santa Elena Cloud Forest in Monteverde and contains both primary and secondary forest and a whole range of activities, including canopy ziplines, suspended bridges, butterfly gardens, hummingbirds and insect exhibitions. Plus a restaurant and guiding services.
Selvatura Park is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Selvatura Transport from town/hotel is included in most of the Selvatura tour prices and depart approx. 8.00am, 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.00pm. All tours over $10 include transport. Exact pick-up time depend on location of hotel. Return transport every two hours (approx.).
Monteverde Canopy Tour: Selvatura Canopy Ziplines
One of the most thrilling ziplining adventures in Costa Rica. The canopy tour is entirely built inside virgin and secondary cloud forest with a total of 15 ziplines and 18 platforms. Plus one amazing (and optional) tarzan swing! Visitors will travel between 2 miles of cables attached by a secure harness and a maximum weight support pulleys plus other security gear to ensure safety. There is now a 1km long zipline! At all times guides will assist you on the tour.
Tour takes 2-3 hours. Transport included.

Selvatura Canopy Walkways (Suspended bridges)
The Selvatura walkways are a series of suspended bridges, high in the canopy of the rain forest. The tour is not just bridges but a series of trails that wind between the bridges. In total, these trails cover 3.3km. There are eight different bridges which have lengths and heights that vary between 50 to 170m long and 12 and 60m high.. Every bridge is 1.5m wide and has a capacity for 60 people. The Selvatura hanging bridges are designed for people of every age and reasonable physical condition. The duration of the walkway tour is usually about 1.5 and 2 hours. Selvatura Guides are available at certain times for an extra $20 per person.
